10-Year Reunion
So this past weekend Stacey and I attended my 10-year high school reunion. Yup, I really am that old, class of 1995.
Combined with all my CCNA stress, I was highly concerned that I would not remember many people, but a quick review of the old yearbook the night before and the memories started flooding back. Thank god for yearbook comments - by the way, from my yearbook comment research 1995 was the year of the "biatch".
JR's Festival Lakes, one of these places that you'd have your "company picnic", was the location for this hot and humid party. We rocked out to some PM Dawn as name-tagged people surrounded an empty dance floor. The kegs helped lubricate the conversation that for the few hours we had the place, and around ten the group mostly moved on to a local bar.
There was just an overall good vibe, and I'd say that people for the most part people hadn't changed. Sure, some people got a bit thicker and Terry (pictured right) grew dreds and decided not to shower since graduation, but hey, pretty much the same. It's hard to believe that there are this many people floating around the area that know me very well, but I haven't talked to in ten years.
The highlight of the evening for me was that I got to spend some time with my good friend Nercole and meet her boyfriend Brett. I haven't seen Nercole in a few years and it was really nice to see her again.

ReplyDeletedoh. didn't realize you don't have an edit option for comments up in this piece. i apparently was fixated on not being able to get over things... maybe i'm still in shock. in case anyone noticed besides me that i like to repeat myself (see above).
